I finally got that pattern finished, although not in time for the submission call. But, the magazine has switched to a monthly release instead of quarterly, and had another call for October 1. It's just a simple hat. I read a call for submissions, which I don't normally do, and got a great idea for a hat. Knit up a swatch to see if it would work, and it did, and I decided I'd go with the yarn I used for the swatch.
