Patience isn't one of my strong points
I finally got that pattern finished, although not in time for the submission call. But, the magazine has switched to a monthly release instead of quarterly, and had another call for October 1. Thanks to computer problems, I didn't actually get it submitted until the wee hours of October 2, but I did get it submitted.
In the call for submissions, it said you'd hear back by 2 weeks after the due date, likely even sooner. That's not until this Saturday. Need I mention that I check my e-mail several times a day, and have done so since October 2, to see if it's been accepted?
I'm very, very proud of this design. I think it looks great, and I haven't seen anything quite like it.
Just a few more days before I should know. And I should probably tack on a few more days after that, since I know all too well how things wind up taking longer than you expected.
But I think I'm going to check my e-mail again now.
