Driving down the highway in swirling, blowing snow that gives you variable visibility of about ten feet to about 100 feet, is bad enough. Tesla Motors has unveiled their new luxury sedan. It costs about half what the Tesla Roadster goes for. Of course, I still want the Roadster. It's pretty. And fast.

And they're opening a store in Chicago on West Grand. So I won't even have to go out to California to get one.

On my way in to work this morning, the left lane on the interstate was blocked off by state troopers and a crane. There was an RV on its roof in the grassy median, and the crane was trying to lift it. We got somewhere around five inches of snow yesterday. This means the road I take east is no longer pavement. It is packed snow. I wonder if they're skimping on the salt this year because last year so many places were running low.

Over 800 cars are stranded on Interstate 90 in Wisconsin. This might explain why I-39 (which feeds into I-90 northbound) was backed up so far that it took me over two hours to get to work this morning.

The roads weren't too bad. Well . . . maybe they were. What was really fun was when the wind would blow the snow around so much that I couldn't tell what was road and what was air. Freaky. They are pulling the plows off the roads because they're losing control.

I have a 37.6 mile commute on interstate and country roads.

If the plows can't make it, would it be really stupid for me to leave now?
