And we don't even have ice.

On my way in to work this morning, the left lane on the interstate was blocked off by state troopers and a crane. There was an RV on its roof in the grassy median, and the crane was trying to lift it. My first thought was that they had crashed through the guard rail on the overpass right there, but then I saw the flatbed tow truck with the great big pickup truck that was scraped all along the side, and had the driver's side window smashed out. Plus, I looked back at the overpass, and it was intact.

When someone passes me driving like a maniac, I often say to them, "See you in a ditch somewhere!" figuring that I'll gloat about their mad driving skillz. Actually seeing someone in a ditch, however (especially not knowing the circumstances), often just makes me feel bad for them. I am particularly terrified of being in a car that overturns. I can't imagine how it must have felt for them.

I hope there weren't any children in either vehicle, and I hope that all innocent parties are in reasonably good condition.

cars, worry, driving, bad drivers
