I received an email on Saturday, May 21st informing me that my Godmother affectionately known as Moosie was finally home from the hospital but is now "at home under hospice care." For the few of you fortunate enough to never be confronted with cancer, hospice is a service to help reduce a patient's pain as they wither away their last days. Moosie ( Read more... )

Finally home from Youmacon. Overall things went well. More details on the con later.

In other news, my Aunt Phyllis who has been quite sick for some time is getting close to the big goodbye. Since I was so close, I left the con early to spend time with family and say my final goodbyes. *sniffle*

Over 4th of July weekend I was quite busy attending weddings. One for my cousin Cyndi and the other for my FFXI friend kamalloy. I got really lucky. The weddings were not on the same day, but were in the same region. I was able to stay with my family and not have to worry about arrangements for the other wedding.
