Today's curse is peculiar.  I can't help but wonder if the curses, no matter how random they appear to be, might tell us something about the City itself.

That was an interesting curse!  I met several pleasant people.  None of them were from my world, but they were quite nice to have around for the day and proved most willing to answer questions, albeit in an indirect and vague sort of way.

This is a curse, isn't it?

Of course.  It has to be.  Murder doesn't happen this often, not even in relatively violent places like this.  Since it's a curse it will be over with by midnight, everyone will be alive, and we won't have to worry about being stabbed in the back if we leave our apartments.  There aren't that many murderers in the City ( Read more... )

That run of curses was utterly chaotic, and of course it had to follow on the heels of significant damage to the laboratory space that I've claimed.  The fire damage isn't dissimilar to the sort of damage we were trying to inflict upon the carousel, and I believe I can safely say that it was the City's way of avenging itself.  (If not, it was a ( Read more... )

To say that this curse causes me no small amount of distress would be a gross understatement. In the interest of preventing myself from focusing on how very exposed I feel today, I've made revisions to the informational document I posted previously.

While I can't say I've made considerable progress on my resolutions, I was able to dredge up some amount of information regarding the City.
