That run of curses was utterly chaotic, and of course it had to follow on the heels of significant damage to the laboratory space that I've claimed.  The fire damage isn't dissimilar to the sort of damage we were trying to inflict upon the carousel, and I believe I can safely say that it was the City's way of avenging itself.  (If not, it was a ( Read more... )

To say that this curse causes me no small amount of distress would be a gross understatement. In the interest of preventing myself from focusing on how very exposed I feel today, I've made revisions to the informational document I posted previously.

While I can't say I've made considerable progress on my resolutions, I was able to dredge up some amount of information regarding the City. It seems that, in my previous stay here, I jotted down observations and notes. Midsummer snow, murders, yet another Dracula... nothing unusual, all things considering, and nothing that concerns me directly.  Curses will come and go as they please, the police force or some well-meaning citizen will undoubtedly bring the murderer to justice, and there are more than enough vampires from my own world--I don't need to go fussing ( Read more... )

I knew something unpleasant would happen!  The scarecrows were tolerable, if annoying; I could, however, have gladly gone without the monster infestation.  It's entirely impossible to accomplish anything when you're hiding trying to fend off hoards of blood-thirsty creatures.

What a wonderful day!  No apocalyptic curses, no epic battles, not a single wailing bride in sight, and seasonably sunny weather--unusual, and highly suspicious.  I would assume that the City, being as it is, is preparing for a truly cataclysmic disaster.  That would be in keeping with its previous patterns.  Enjoy the weather and the lack of ( Read more... )
