Mom's going in for surgery again today, this time for her knee replacement. I'm not really as worried or nervous about this surgery for her, as it's not as serious as her hip surgeries, but it's still a big deal, of course. I hope all my US friends are enjoying their Memorial Day weekend. Mine's been pretty great so far, Zack & his mom & I spent most of yesterday making frozen bananas, having homemade enchiladas, and watching the first 10 episodes of the new "Arrested Development". I think I've mentioned before that my mom does genealogy (the study of one's own family history, if you don't know what that is). She doesn't do as much as she used to do, but she still pokes around with it every once in a while ( Read more... )

Christmas was awesome this year. LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than last year, I'll tell ya that. (I still say last year was even tighter, money-wise, I don't think my parents remember that their "major" gift to me was an OIL HEATER, lol.)
