I am a huge Apple fan, and I have three 2nd generation AppleTVs that I use to watch streaming media in different rooms of my house. I have hacked them all so I can stream a wide variety of formats and stream directly from a large SMB file share I have. I am less than thrilled with iTunes 11, and am trying to figure out how to use it for all the same functions I enjoyed with earlier versions of iTunes. I noticed a pretty nifty feature of the Airport Utility app on my iOS 5.0.1 based iPad.
When I have multiple Apple branded Airport devices wired to the same network, they appear side by side on the Airport Utility's topology map:

Guess it's a good time to buy some grass seed and over seed the bare spots in the yard.

Also a good time to clean gutters and make sure drain tile is connected to down spouts and is clear of debris.

This morning I went by the house to check on things and feed the cats and found that the power was back on at the house; and that by some miracle I do not fully understand most of our treasured marine aquarium livestock appears to have survived! A few years ago we upgraded our wired network at home to do Gigabit Ethernet throughout the house, an upgrade I have loved since the day we did it. Thermostats say 93F in the shade here, and humid... Summer is definitely here at last.
