I like to cut my hair short at the beginning of the summer, and let it grow long through the colder months (it keeps my neck warm that way!). Today I went and had my summer snip done. I hadn't expected to go quite THIS short...but I'm not unhappy with it, either.

Today was rainy and miserable, and it really only went downhill from the soaking I got this morning. Work was...not BAD, but sad. We had to euthanize Buttons (a big orange cat who survived a housefire last week. I spent the past weekend in Ohio, visiting the extended family. One of my many sets of aunts and uncles celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, so we turned it into an impromptu reunion. The Orange Monsters are three weeks old today. I have decided to dub #2 Cade, because of his squinchy eye, so I'm obligated to call #1 Sinclair. It works out rather well, as Sinclair is the one always trying to sneak out of the box, while Cade prefers to sit there and chomp on his brother whenever he waddles within range. The gray kitten passed away around 5:00pm. I'd been taking him to work and class lately to bottle feed, as he'd been losing startling amounts of weight while his brothers only got bigger and bigger. We lost Runty McGee last night, sometime between 2-6am. When I tried to take her away and wrap her up in a washcloth, Harvey got upset. She started crying and licking her baby, and even pulled her out of my lap to take her back to the box.
