In Killing Monsters, Gerard describes play fighting among kids as less about violence and more as about action. Many children seek the reassurance having the power to overcome imaginary obstacles (bad guys) lends to properly face real obstacles. Drinking Alcohol

Living in a college town, alcohol is readily available. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, and stores where the purchase should be no problem at all. However, I don't drink alcohol. Why I don't is a multi-pronged issue:
