Might
In
Killing Monsters, Gerard describes play fighting among kids as less about violence and more as about action. Many children seek the reassurance having the power to overcome imaginary obstacles (bad guys) lends to properly face real obstacles. Its an interesting book should you have or plan to have children.
When I think of might, physical strength is the usual image. However, there are other forces which we ought to keep in mind. Judo as a martial art is designed to use the physical force of an opponent against himself or herself. Consider for example the old saying, "
The pen is mightier than the sword." Its interesting to me this originated in a play about Cardinal Richelhieu whose conniving and manipulation of the French politics was legendary. I tend to think of it in the Thomas Jefferson context of using the press to manipulate the thinking of voters. Of course, Might is also one of the attributes of God in the Baha'i Faith. Obviously, a noncorporeal existence would have a might different than physical strength, so what would that be?
