What I Wore: Ranch Wedding

Nov 05, 2010 09:57

The morning after I was frantically driven through pitch black country gravel roads rushed to the Bellville Emergency Room*, Rhonda and I got to get all cute for a ranch wedding in Brenham, TX.  Where I absolutely detest shopping (I know... take away my girl card), I had a surprisingly good time hitting The Galleria with Rhonda, picking out the perfect ranch wedding outfits together.  And even though I was pretty wiped out the day of the wedding, I was still enthusiastic about traipsing around a beautiful ranch, on an absolutely stunning day, for one of the best wedding ceremonies I've ever witnessed.

Images shot in our home and at my grandparents' property in Bellville.

Dress: Staring At Stars, Urban Outfitters
Hairpiece & heart pendant: Urban Outfitters
Boots: From some seriously shady, hole-in-the-wall shoe store (Like... I don't even think this store had a proper name) run by a VERY pushy Nigerian man.  But they were amazingly affordable and I got a free pair of shoes for buying the boots.  So, TOTAL WIN.
Ring: Handmade by a local artist.  It was a gift from my bestie, Ileya for being the Matron of Honor in her wedding.
-I also wore an antique, amber cuff that my Grams passed down to me.  Totally didn't get a photo of it.  I suck.  And I carried a gold, vintage clutch, also gifted to me by Grams.

*Yeah, if you don't follow me on Facebook, you wouldn't know I had one of my episodes while we were crashing at my grandparents' place in the country.  I would say this is one of the wost I've had in the almost eight years of battling the illness.  I can't remember feeling that awful since my very first episode.  And it took forever to get treatment because the doctors felt it necessary to research my illness first.  But it's all over now and I'm quite thankful for my two grandmothers and my wife being there to comfort and take care of me.
