Metro is going on its next phase of SafeTrack repairs and we have once again fewer trains and packed to capacity. The DC metro, the public transit system, of the nation's capital, of a nation that is acclaimed to be the most powerful in the world, sucks. Absolutely. It's sad. They have to fight constantly to keep and get their funding. They have been begging and asking since 2008. On my way home on the metro, I overheard, along with other passengers that there were some delays on the Red line due to a train stuck on the tracks at Fort Totten station. Most of the regular riders ignored this message as it's become a daily occurrence of a train being stuck somewhere, or the doors not working or something like that causing ( Read more... )

Just a request to anyone who rides the metro anywhere really. Especially during rush hour, yes, DC does get its share of rush hour. For some reason this was a huge interest for family and friends in India, whether or not our trains get filled up, etc. They do.
