Kelli, I honestly think that switching from UF to UNF is a bad idea. I mean you worked so extremely hard in high school to get where you are now, its almost like a slap in the face to yourself to just throw it all away. It all boils down to your decision and your major is one of the most important decisions ever; but, in most cases the majors collegiate students decided to choose does not go towards their job choice in the future. I think have "University of Florida, College of ANything" on your college diploma will work out better for you than anything from UNF. But the decision is yours. Grasp it and enjoy because nothing feels better than setting a goal you know you will achieve and want to so much.

I want to add... rjkennedy July 15 2004, 19:36:34 UTC
Honestly, by the way, I went through the same thing as you... I didnt want to do political science and definitely had a hard time deciding my track of Pre Law. I wanted to change to journalism, which I knew I would not be able to do because of the 20 people admitted each semester to the Nicholson School. I really wanted it for a while but then realized it wasn't something I wanted to work so hard for. I would have to raise my GPA up so much it wouldve taken 2 years. I scarred my grades so bad that if I make straight A's next Fall and Spring taking 12 hours each I can only recieve a 3.0 and that is with a perfect A year. So, almost as if my decision was a standardized test question, I went with my gut decision. Political Science, and this is my most honest statement. I have never been happier with my decision on my major. After looking into internships and possible things in the future like Law Schools and LSAT scores, I am so EAGER to get started and start proving everyone wrong about my fall and spring semesters last year. Kelli, you asked me for my HONEST opinion, and you know well that I will give it to you! Haha, but please don't get upset, I am just telling you what I am thinkig, it is neither right nor wrong. It is just hoe I feel. As your friend, I want you to know that I will completely support ANYTHING that will make you happy. I totally know the feeling of being at UF and having it suck ass. I have not made a real decision about my life ever, so I'm sure that you kind of feel relieved that you finally have. I must say though that I honestly don't believe that you could make that decision properly due to the last couple of months. I don't want to say that without leaving you an explanation s here it goes...The last time you were at UF taking classes you didn't exactly enjoy your stay here. Now can you honestly tell yourself that this reason was purely because you had no direction? Could it ALSO very well be the fact that you didnt have many friends around at the time and it added to thr frustration and loneliness? Think of all the fun ( ... )

well lemme add my two cents. I was aiming at an international business degree and UF doesnt offer that either. So i was talking to a business professor about going to UNF and he said to stay at UF even tho they dont offer the right program because a degree from UF rocks face. BUTT, If you know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you want a high school math thingy, leave me and go to UNF with my blessing.

My wise and wonderful answer hearttofollow July 15 2004, 18:01:15 UTC
A certain person used to say to me whenever I asked him what I should do that he couldn't give me the answers to my life. Which I now know is the most truthful thing he's ever said to me. Although you may ask us what our opinion is, the truth is we can only give you answers to what we would do if we were you. Honestly, any answer we will give you won't be the best answer for you. We're not you and we're not capable of feeling or knowing which decision will be best for you. It's all on you hunny :) With that being said, I will give you my opinion ( ... )
