My wise and wonderful answer hearttofollow July 15 2004, 18:01:15 UTC
A certain person used to say to me whenever I asked him what I should do that he couldn't give me the answers to my life. Which I now know is the most truthful thing he's ever said to me. Although you may ask us what our opinion is, the truth is we can only give you answers to what we would do if we were you. Honestly, any answer we will give you won't be the best answer for you. We're not you and we're not capable of feeling or knowing which decision will be best for you. It's all on you hunny :) With that being said, I will give you my opinion.

Here's a secret: I was thinking of doing the exact same thing as you! I have no idea what I want to do with my life anymore. Nursing is something I have seriously considered doing for a long time, but now that it's come time to apply and take that next step, I realize I can't do it. I have no idea what I want to do. It's the scariest thing in the world to not know what you want to do. If I go back to UCF in the fall, I'll be taking classes that I have no idea if I want to apply to the rest of my life. So what's the point? Why should I put so much effort into something I don't even know if I want to do?

To add to the pressure, I don't have a full Bright Futures ride, nor am I a National Merit. I know that if I go back and take these classes, I will be paying for something I might not even use. On top of that, if I go in with the notion that the classes are useless, I won't perform as though I care. My mom will beat me if I continue to waste money without knowing what I want to do and she'll also blame it on my choice of being at UCF.

UF is a good school, but that doesn't mean it has everything. Just because UNF isn't a top state school doesn't mean it doesn't have the best program. In the end, just the fact that you have a degree will mean something. Your performance WITH that degree will determine what kind of job you get. If you have a degree from UF, but you've learned nothing, what good does it do for you? If you feel that you will get more out of UNF, then go to UNF. The bottom line is do what you feel comfortable with. It's not going to do you any good to take classes or stay at UF if you're going to hate it the entire time you're there.

Just do what makes YOU happy and don't listen to anyone but yourself.

The only one who can disappoint you is yourself.

...and if I wasn't late for LIFT Summit, I would write more coherently :)

GOOD LUCK KELLI :)
