But keep in mind, that while you have full intentions of going to school after a break, the majority of people who quit school with intentions of going back later indeed don't go back. This is not because their intentions were not focused on going back; but, not being in school, their priorities change, and it ends up not being in the cards. (The road to hell is paved with good intentions). Is school really right for you? You need to ask yourself that question. I think it is, your other friends probably do, but if for some reason it isn't, don't waste you time, money or talents. But if school is right for you, even if you don't know what you want to do, don't give up. And yes, if you take a semester or year off it is giving up. What would you do in the down time? Work at SNS? Lounge around? Stay in orange park, with your parents? Being in college also gets you prepped for full independence. Its just to easy to spiral into a rut. It'll probably happen if you do drop out "for the semester" or "for the year". Just, please think about it before you make a decision.
