It seems there's this memo that allegedly had President Bush talking to Tony Blair about his desire to bomb Al-Jazeera for reporting bad news from the siege of Fallujah back in 2004. My nephew has returned from Iraq, at least for now. If things look as bleak in a year, they might rotate his Guard unit back in early.

My prayers go out to the soldiers still in danger, trapped by their oaths and the lies of politicians.

It was my parents' 45th anniversary (and Mom's birthday), so on Saturday my brother and his family picked me up for the long drive to Sandstone. The little ones do get a bit tiresome--there are times I am glad I have no children of my own ( Read more... )

My nephew's National Guard unit, stationed in Iraq, lost three soldiers Monday. Prayers and well wishes for them and their families would be appreciated.
