Hold On To That Feelin'...

I apologize for the lack of posts. The days seem to just be zipping by lately.

I have to say that I'm so happy the weather is finally picking up and being more spring-like. Up until this past week, I was still wearing my heavy parka and clunky winter boots. Heck, I think Friday morning was the first that I didn't wear my parka and boots! It's unusual, especially in the last several years, for winter to be dragging on this long. The snow in our yard is almost entirely gone at long last. I'm hesitant yet to put the battery back in my scooter for the season as it still goes down to about 0 overnight, which is also the reason I haven't retired my parka and boots for the season.

I'm utterly exhausted today and I don't have a very good reason. I slept a fair amount, but I did wake up frequently so maybe that's why. I also did a lot more socializing and such this weekend than I normally do. *lol*

It was nice during the day on Friday to take a stroll through Osborne Village. A singing busker was out, there were a lot of girls in super cute outfits, and a complete stranger complimented me on my necklace and wished me a wonderful day.

Friday after work, Heather and I went out for sushi in Osborne Village. Because the weather was the nicest it has been this year, there were a lot of cops and cadets on foot patrol and the restaurant was busier than it usually is. While not a full restaurant, it was clear the lone waitress on hand was very overwhelmed so we waited longer than normal. There was a guy there that looked like Harvey Keitel. Heather had no idea who I was talking about. Afterward, we went to my friend Kat's art installation, The City With No Animals. It was an enchanting set up and we both had a lot of fun exploring and subsequently hanging out with people that I knew but hadn't actually met in person yet. When I came home that night, I discovered my Black Milk Clothing Hamlet leggings had arrived in the mail. Magical!

Yesterday, I went out to the stix with my cousin for family dinner. It was nice, but it was a long day for both of us (him being sick, me having plans in the evening) when you factor in the drive time of 3 hours round trip. While we were driving out there, we thought that it might be more convenient to have family dinners in the city at a restaurant since the majority of us live in the city and then no one has to cook.

Heather came over after I got home and settled so we could watch Rock of Ages as she hadn't seen it yet. She loved singing along. *lol* I'm still impressed with Tom Cruise's performance since I normally think he's a dink.

I went to Moore's with Andrew last week as he needed to get a suit for a fancy work event. He got a hell of a deal as it was buy one, get one free on suits. Anyway, while the tailor was cinching the coat and pants in, I was eyeballing suits and the beautiful queer boy in me was pouting, "I want a suit, too!" *lol* The good thing is I'd fit their boys' sizes. Now I just need a reason to go back and get a tailored suit for myself. I see black pinstripe, maybe with a vest, either a bright blue or green shirt, and a tie. I'd look dynamite. The funny part in this is lately I've also been, "I want cute dresses from Mod Cloth with boots!" I've ordered a cute retro dress and a pair of boots so at least one half of me is satisfied. *lol*
