[ If her parents knew where she was - or maybe even Peter - she would be in big trouble. Big trouble; death metal was at the top of the list of music genres that her parents would disown her if she was caught listening to it. She was a little iffy in showing up, but it beat staying at home and watching the network.

At about a half past four, she enters the warehouse (able to get in for free by saying she was with "D-Joe" and a newcomer), eyes widening at the sight of the interior.

She glances back at the door, moving inside with a small crowd of people. It was probably rude to leave this early. ]

[ "D-Joe" (which isn't lame) is standing by a folding table covered in equipment- a soundboard, mixers, a bottle of something Sam would never let him have after shift at Merlotte's. His noise-cancelling headphones haven't been slipped over his ears yet, and his eyes are glued to the entrance in anticipation.

He's excited for tonight, hopeful and bouncing on his toes, a little anxious that the big warehouse won't be packed, lest that seem lame.

He skims the crowd for anyone who seems remotely familiar, hoping to see Roxas and his spiky blonde hair, or maybe that really cool sounding convict he's spoken to on the network.

...or hey. Maybe another blonde?]

[ Claire can’t see much, being one of the shortest attendees of the party. Maybe she should have invested in heels a little taller than 3 inches. Once the entering crowd dissipates a little as people go their separate ways, Claire spots a familiar face. She gives a wave, making her way over to the table he’s located at.

It’s a little difficult to maneuver through the crowd, but with a little forceful shoving, Claire manages to get through. ] Hey, Joe.

OPENING BAND drinkthebleach December 3 2011, 23:59:06 UTC
[The festivities will open up with a group of five young rogues known as Gore Muncher, straight from the mildewy depths of their bassist's basement. The set will seem to go on forever. Even when their set ends and it seems like they're about to leave, they play two extra songs because they mistook the relieved clapping as a raving demand for an encore.]

[This wasn't really Tim's scene at all, and on any other night, he wouldn't be here. At least, not as a party goer. This place was crowded, and the music was earsplitting. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good, either, and mostly it was just loud.

But he was on the hunt for certain drug dealers, who he was sure wouldn't give up going to a thing like this. He glanced around as a set ended, looking for someone.]

[A wider variety of recorded music will be played at this juncture. Everything you could think of on the heavy metal spectrum: Slayer, Sear Bliss, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Cannibal Corpse. A wide variety of bands with the glaring exception of Nu.]

[Pickles staggers over to the DJ station at some point. If his hammered status wasn't made clear by his glassy expression or the pink flush at the very tip of his nose, he cuts the music off for a second in order to plug his dethphone into the speakers. There's a certain playlist he made last night for this very occasion.]

[OOC: See here for references on the usual effects of Dethklok's music.]]

Hey! Hey, what-

[One aggro'd Joe Fieldman, fresh off the natural high of a crowd listening to whatever his thumb decides to punch into the mixer (and the secondhand high of...the haze currently wafting through the warehouse) tears off one side of his headphones and glowers at Pickles.

Since when was jacking his set without warning part of the game plan!

So as the speakers begin to wail with strange and melodious deth previously unheard in the Port, the tech at the soundbooth (currently ousted from playing poser DJ) clenches fists in righteous fury, ponders cutting the speakers, but-

His finger pauses on the volume sliders. Nah, the music is actually awesome. So he takes it up to the max, because if the subwoofers blow now, he can always just blame Pickles.

With that, he whips around and mouths over the deafening noise

'What's the big idea!']

[It might seem like he's ignoring Joe's righteous anger at first, but he just doesn't see it. Both his attention span and his vision are narrow tunnels at the moment, channeling all his energy into figuring out how to make the necessary hook-ups and get the results he wants. There's too many fucking wires. The wires just needed to fucking stop it.

But he knows he got it to work when he hears the orchestral opening to Dethharmonic--what he considered a strong opening to get the crowd warmed up.

It grabs Pickles, at the very least. Music was supposed to take you to a different place--or something gay like that. As soon as he heard the violins, he remembers the concert and Fatty Ding Dongs in crystal sharp detail. It's almost disorienting to hear Nate's voice again; then rock backwards and remember where he was.

Before he can react, he turns and sees Joe mouthing...something to him. He grins crookedly and waves.]

DRUG BUST drinkthebleach December 4 2011, 00:15:51 UTC
[The pigs try to bust up the party; NPC fans under the influence of Dethklok's music violently attack them. What do?]

[ Claire's caught in the middle of some of the fans getting into a brutal fight with some of,the cops. Being short seemed to only have disadvantages, and she's shoved to the ground, trampled by the feet of the crazed fans. The music didn't seem to affect her as much as others, but she definitely grabbed the legs of some of the people to bring them down so she could get up.

It definitely did not work out as well as she thought it would. ]

HOPE THIS IS ALL RIGHT? drinkthebleach December 13 2011, 04:00:06 UTC
[Chaos after a show wasn't new to Pickles--it was so customary that their manager even invented pain wavers to prevent them from going bankrupt due to multiple lawsuits. As far as he knew, they were the only death metal band that needed that.

The key difference was normally when this shit was happening, he was on stage and out of the line of fire. He was going to have bruises from dicks and assholes elbowing him in the gut, and he was trying to stay away from anyone that looked like a cop...

Pickles nearly jumps out of his sneakers when he feels something latch onto his ankle. It's alarming to feel anything touch him below the waist; he can't even process what would be on the ground until he looks and sees a girl. What was she doing there?

Blinking a couple times:] You all right?

Can you help me up? [ She sounds a little irritated. Claire's not sure if anything is broken on her; hopefully not, just to avoid an awkward conversation about being able to heal. She holds out a hand, trying to stand on her own. Her leg keeps sliding though (broken or sprained, it's impossible to tell at this), making it nearly impossible.

Be a gentleman and help a lady up, bro. ]
