[ If her parents knew where she was - or maybe even Peter - she would be in big trouble. Big trouble; death metal was at the top of the list of music genres that her parents would disown her if she was caught listening to it. She was a little iffy in showing up, but it beat staying at home and watching the network.

At about a half past four, she enters the warehouse (able to get in for free by saying she was with "D-Joe" and a newcomer), eyes widening at the sight of the interior.

She glances back at the door, moving inside with a small crowd of people. It was probably rude to leave this early. ]

[ "D-Joe" (which isn't lame) is standing by a folding table covered in equipment- a soundboard, mixers, a bottle of something Sam would never let him have after shift at Merlotte's. His noise-cancelling headphones haven't been slipped over his ears yet, and his eyes are glued to the entrance in anticipation.

He's excited for tonight, hopeful and bouncing on his toes, a little anxious that the big warehouse won't be packed, lest that seem lame.

He skims the crowd for anyone who seems remotely familiar, hoping to see Roxas and his spiky blonde hair, or maybe that really cool sounding convict he's spoken to on the network.

...or hey. Maybe another blonde?]

[ Claire can’t see much, being one of the shortest attendees of the party. Maybe she should have invested in heels a little taller than 3 inches. Once the entering crowd dissipates a little as people go their separate ways, Claire spots a familiar face. She gives a wave, making her way over to the table he’s located at.

It’s a little difficult to maneuver through the crowd, but with a little forceful shoving, Claire manages to get through. ] Hey, Joe.

[He spots her struggling to part the crowd, giving a big wave in her direction until she can fight her way up to the DJ booth. He's playing some 'pre-show' recorded music, not ear-splitting just yet.

Joe beams, motioning for a high five.]

Hey! You made it!

[ Claire stares at his hand briefly, giving him a look before giving him a high-five. She didn't think people still gave them. ]

Yeah, of course. Wouldn't miss it for the world. [ Well, if she had something else planned, she might have. But she didn't, so. Party in Canada! ]

[Joe didn't quite seem to sense her hesitation, too wrapped up in watching the people pour in, seeing their faces at all the dark, sort-of-freaky look of it all.

(Pickles was certainly very impressively um...deathy. About his metal.)]

Heh... I hope Demyx at least winds up with some audience at Merlotte's tonight!

[ If the entire Dethklok band were in the City, you can bet your sweet little booty that it would be about ten trillion times more brutal than this shin-dig. ]

I'm sure there'll be some there; there has to be at least a few people in this city that were too scared to show up tonight.

[Gotta start somewhere, right?

Joe laughs, tossing the headset aside for the moment and leaning forward over the table.]

Scared? Why, because of the darkness proofing?

Even if the darkness leaks in, the monsters won't. The building'll hold up.

I was thinking more because of the whole death metal thing, but that, too, probably. [ Major party foul. ]

Hopefully nothing will leak in. But it would only add to the decor of this place, really.

Maybe the sheer brutal force of screaming metal sound will beat back the darkness.

[He drawls with a little roll of his eyes, because the way the opening band was saying it during their sound check earlier, you'd think that was seriously what they were intending to do.]

[ Claire gives an almost-snort, rolling her eyes. ]

I don't know about that. If anything, it might attract them.

Maybe Darwin Watts'll show up here-

[Joe sighs wishfully]

But if anything, they've got me. And Pickles picked good security too, I hope.

Who's that? [ She isn't very well acquainted with many of the names of the 'important people' here yet. ]

There's always that guy with the shark tank, too. That's got to be useful for some kind of protection. [ Slash monster-killing. ]

[He casts an expectant glance around]

I really hope that guy'll actually show up. I mean, that he wasn't pulling my leg...

There might be a riot if he doesn't show up. I mean, that was one of the high-lights of the show's advertisement.
