[ His body convulsed, tensing as though it would spare him the pain of erupting flames, tearing his body apart from the inside out. A pain that never came. Instead his body was battered and bruised, compressed, tightened. But for the pain of being thrown about like a rag-doll, he felt something else. He knew what it felt like to have torn muscles

...and then he sees the hem and zipper of a very familiar coat, and also a familiar face in the dim image. Tilting his head closer to the little speaker, on the replay, he hears a distinct voice. It's unmistakable.
Oh brother. Vexen? Really? Both of them back at once? Who's next, Larxene?
For once, he doesn't follow the instinctive tug to flip on the voice recording and send out some harshly mocking welcome. It's too loud in here to be heard very well over the heartbeat-throb of baseline, anyway.
So he opts for keypad function. He tries to remember to use full sentences, because his maker seems the type to scorn shortcuts.]

It was still hard to really make out the dull look to his eyes and the struggle to try and focus from the tablet's perspective on the ground, but even with that complication, it wasn't too hard to see his skin was paler than normal. Nor was it hard to tell that the morning sun reflective off of his skin due to a cold sweat.
But he wasn't even paying attention to the tablet, he was just trying to stay awake. And then he heard a ping that rung in his ears and he looked down. The Replica would've been met with a defensive and snappy creator that couldn't make out who responded or what was said. Only that the screen was lit up and there were blurs on it reminiscent of letters and words. ]
Either cease trying to hide behind mere text in your cowardice and speak, or stop wasting my time! [ Hiss, hiss. Also generic response, because he wasn' ( ... )

Don't call me coward.
Too loud here to use the microphone.
You should get inside before something eats you alive.

Well, like creator like replica, so to keep from sounding utterly stupid, he was forced back down to his knees to pick up the blasted tablet. And it felt so good to get off of his unstable feet and settle on the ground, even if he did feel even more humiliated. From this proximity, he could at least make out the text, though. ]
Pray tell, what would eat me out here? [ He sounded incredulous on top of the current snappy replies. He still couldn't quite tell it was his Riku, as it were. ]

-- Well. Maybe not 'never'. ]

Makin' friends with the Greeters, Popsicle?
Or would you like a pick-up?

Xigbar. He'd know that voice anywhere. So, this tablet really was his, and apparently, it was nice enough to turn itself on and transmit a feed. Thanks fates, Vexen really just loves it when you spit on him like this.
Regardless, with a growl, he just spoke back to the tablet, his voice a little distant since he was still standing. ] I'm perfectly capable of taking care of such myself, Two! I simply need to return to the castle.

Too bad the castle's inaccessible now, isn't it?

I'd imagine they're only trying to assist as best they know.

He only glanced down quickly with a tired, but still critical sneer before focusing his gaze to the horizon while he took quick and deep breaths, trying to get his bearings and make some kind of progress towards finding the Castle. Or..at least figure out where he was. He needed to lie down, he fully understood his body was in shock and still in such pain. ] If I required their assistance, I would ask for it, Ten.
I don't need strange imbeciles putting their hands all over me, of whom haven't the slightest idea of how to tend to the needs of people such as ourselves. [ So snappy, but it still sounded empty and weak compared to his usual retorts. ]

Of course. But they can hardly be expected to know that, much less the demands and requirements of existences such as ours. Still... if they will be so insistent to find aid perhaps a suitable conclusion can be found?
[Which is about as close to offering his help as he'll get. Too blunt and he knows Vexen's pride won't allow him to accept, even should it be clear it might be useful.]

Don't be coy with me, Ten. I'm perfectly capable of tending myself once I return to the Castle!

[This... is not good.]

In fact he just ignored it after a quick downwards glance and a snort, because it was inconsequential. If no one spoke back and bothered him, then it wasn't worth his time. He had more important things to tend to. ]

...it could be worse. He guesses.]
The greeters are just doing their jobs.

If I wanted those incapable imbeciles putting grabbing me for whatever reason, I would have asked, Thirteen. And need I mention again that above all, we must remain undetected? [ Hiss, hiss. ]

Sigh.]
It's a little late for that. This world doesn't work like other ones.

[ He sighed, exasperated. He sounded like he wanted to backhand Thirteen because he clearly remembers telling him to always remain hidden. ]
