 So, my life drawing class (Composition and Drawing) is taking up a ton of time, and I am fine with that. We have had 125 drawings for homework each week, plus 3-6 compositional analyses. Iz good foh you! Like veggies. It has taken 11-12 hours each week, just in homework time. But I can tell that my line quality is improving, and I am getting ( Read more... )

 Well, my third class went a lot better! It was Painting Materials and Techniques, and the teacher seems really decent. He is a working artist, who has exhibited with really important people, and he has a really good perspective on art! I think this will be my favorite class.  So, I got the good news yesterday. On my way home from painting, I grabbed the mail, and saw a big packet from Art Center that said "Congratulations."  Got the portfolio out last week, trying to get a hold of someone at the school to make sure that it arrived in one piece. Well, two pieces, since it was 2 boxes.

So I made the long drive down to LA. I took off after work on Wednesday, and drove back Friday morning, with Maria. Got those damned Art Center essays completed. First draft only, though. I sent it out to choice family and friends who I think might have the time, will, and ability to look it over at some point soon. So far, my ma says the first essay is confounding (not a good sign for my writing style) but she likes the second.
