I'm half way through the spring quarter. I'd say things are going much better now. Ideology wise things have gelled and I've shelved or otherwise relegated my anxieties over certain unresolved issues and concerns. I've finally made it to UCSD. After dealing with administrative mistakes on nearly every step (and mistakes in their rectification...), my enrollment appears official and my financial aid is dealt with. I've moved in to my grandparents studio condo in La Jolla. It's small, but much larger than what I had living with dad. If I am so inclined, I now ( Read more... )

With the fires disrupting my school schedule I'd lost quite a bit of momentum. The time I had off was welcome though because I had my hands full trying to figure out how best to be supportive to Barb and also how to adjust to the change in our relationship. Well the fires are of little concern to us right now and that both the weather and the resources came together to help tame it. I think it's still burning, eastwards now, but there are a lot less people at risk and people are allowed back into their homes. I’m in the library and I should be doing homework right now. Technically I’m still in class. I’m taking English 201, Critical Writing using literature. I’ve been having a rough time with this class.
