I took Ben's suggestion and went for a walk. There were crunchy leaves and I stepped on them. It helped a little. I went down to the town library and I would have gotten a library card, but the grumpy librarian said  I had to have two kinds of picture ID on me. WTF? I feel like an alien inhabiting someone else's body. I feel so distant from everything and I'm not sure how much longer I can take this.

I'm lonely, but I don't feel like talking. I know I should make myself leave my room, but I don't want to. I'm tired of pretending to be cheerful when I see someone I know.
