Brokeback Mountain Got Me Good
I'm all over the place in real life but these guys are still it for me. tonight i'm rewatching the movie with fresh eyes and i'm going to post some comments on things that make me go hmmm..... here's the first one...
having seen the whole movie and gotten a feel for how they are going to interact, etc, in the movie, what the heck is jack doing in this scene? he is totally working the predator moves here 100% and ennis even seems to feel them and recoil. jack throttles back after that, but seriously, is this realistic? when i watched this scene, i was like, Whoa!! what's fixing to happen? it didn't jibe with the rest of Jack's overtures with Ennis.
i'm not bashing our movie at all, 'cuz i loved it and still do as much as anybody, but i'm interested in getting feedback among friends about different scenes and issues. i'm just curious if anyone else has any lingering thoughts and questions about the movie, nine years later.
