About 45 seconds after Trista got home from Spider Mountain, her first 50k, she was signed up for her second 50k, a local (to her) trail race. I looked to see if there was anything in my area that I could do, so as not to suffer from Extreme FOMO, but the closest thing I could find was the Hell's Hills 50k, a few weeks later. Sold! When Trista realized she wouldn't be able to come down for Bandera, Tejas Trails said they were happy to transfer her registration to another upcoming Tejas Trails race. The macro schedule that my coach gave me doesn't call for any run longer than 24 miles. Even though I trusted that his plan would get me to and through my 100 miler, it was my Logical self that trusted. Matt was planning on doing the Rocky Raccoon 100 miler in January, so I picked out a couple promising training races he could do, one of which was the Warda Wild Hare 50 miler in November.
