Kudos to Thundercloud for announcing very early on that they were changing the 2020 turkey trot to a virtual race. I realize with so many thousands of participants, there was a 0% chance they could modify it or get approval to hold it in person, but still, it was a nice relief knowing so early that it wasn't going to happen, and not having to ( Read more... )

When Trista realized she wouldn't be able to come down for Bandera, Tejas Trails said they were happy to transfer her registration to another upcoming Tejas Trails race. Once upon a time, I said I had no interest in running a 100 miler. I'm a terrible night trail runner, and I really like sleep.

The original plan had me running the 25 miler, and Matt running with me, and then Matt turning around and running back to complete the 50 miler. The reality is that we got caught up in helping Kate train for her first triathlon, and training for our first triathlon in years, and maybe neglected some of our longer run/trail training.
