Okay, so it's just a bit over a day and two hours until the yuletide deadline, and I still don't have my first draft finished, even though I had hoped to have it finished last weekend. Why is it that I have such a hard time getting my characters to talk, and then when they finally do talk, they want to do nothing but talk, so I can't move the plot along ( Read more... )

This has more or less been the course of my day so far: slept for 3 hours, cooked for 4 hours, ate for 1 hour, slept for 3 hours, and I've now spent the past 2 hours trying to wake up again and occasionally eating more. I'm currently eating some of yesterday's ice-cream. Hopefully the caffeine will help.

Gearing up for Thanksgiving in D-town tomorrow. Still need to buy a lot of stuff. I'm sure the store is a zoo right now, so waiting an hour or so is probably a good idea. No one unusual is coming this year, but lately just getting the whole nuclear family around the table is a rare enough occurrence that doing it twice in one month is more than ( Read more... )

It's 3 o'clock in the morning, and I'm baking a pie. Yay me.

In other news, we got snow a few days ago and the evil stuff still hasn't had the decency to melt yet.

I accidentally put my finger in boiling soup this afternoon, which makes typing a more interesting experience than usual. That about sums up my day.

Random fact learned from Wikipedia today: eating 30-90g of polar bear liver in one sitting will give you a fatal vitamin A overdose.

I find this information to be far more amusing than I probably should.
