turkey day eve
Gearing up for Thanksgiving in D-town tomorrow. Still need to buy a lot of stuff. I'm sure the store is a zoo right now, so waiting an hour or so is probably a good idea. No one unusual is coming this year, but lately just getting the whole nuclear family around the table is a rare enough occurrence that doing it twice in one month is more than noteworthy. Twice in one week is practically unheard of.
Tonight, I'm making Thai tea ice-cream, so we can have a non-pie dessert on hand for if anyone wants it. It still needs to chill in the fridge for a while longer before I can dump it into the machine. I hadn't thought that I had inhaled much of the dust from the tea leaves during the initial prep, but my snot is currently coming out artificial bright orange, so I guess I was wrong. Fun times. I never expected to need to wear a dust-mask while cooking.
