I've done this healing ritual before, but never paired with my new circle casting and opening/closings. The ritual went really well. I go into a light trance whenever I do it.

I had the baby this morning at 8:30-ish, after being up since about 3:30-ish. I got about an hour of sleep before going into labour, and a couple hours after. My brain is mush. Last night was my cousin's birthday, and we all went out to a bar. I'm really hungover. I've been helping the physical symptoms with things like Gatoraid for my electrolytes, and lots of water, salty foods, things like that. I hate cleaning. But I have a cleaning day every week, and a larger cleaning day every month where I not only remove the physical dust, garbage and other debris, but I remove the spiritual debris. The physical act of cleaning is also the magical act of cleansing.

I posted part of my update to my regular journal about feeling included and not a burden when we watched the dog show today. I felt connected and that people were enjoying not just the show and the food but being together, and I was part of that togetherness. It was wonderful.

I had a baby recently and I have postpartum depression. I can't bring myself to get excited about the baby at all, and I find it difficult to get excited about other big things that I'm usually very excited about such as the One of a Kind Craft Show on December first.
