Reflexology and Ion Bath

I was at the spa, and I had an Ion cleanse and a reflexology treatment.

The ion cleanse involved me putting my feet in a special tub of salted water. Even if the ion cleanse is bogus (which I don't believe it to be), a salt bath on your feet can be very relaxing and a good deep clean.
The ion cleanse draws out toxins from the body. The water is disgusting, really. Mine turned into a brown soup. But after, when I was waiting for the reflexology, I felt very good and very comfortable. My feet felt really nice, heh. I don't really know if I felt lighter or energized, but I did feel relaxed. Which was helpful, because I had to relax for the reflexology.

Reflexology is the practice of healing areas of the body by applying certain types of pressure onto the feet. I'm still unsure how to gauge my enjoyment of this. On one hand, it was relaxing and felt nice. A good foot massage felt great and lying down on a massage table for an hour was nice too. On the other, areas of my foot that felt tense or hurt, corresponded with areas of my body that I do have issues with. My sinuses, for one, and my right knee. But some areas where I expected issues (such as areas relating to the abuse), were painless. Perhaps this is because the issues tied up there are emotional, not physical (anymore).

Overall though, I'd recommend both of these treatments. I went to Jolanta's spa in town, where the two treatments together cost around $100. Yes, it was pricey, but definitely worth it, even just for the deep relaxation.

Next week, I'm getting a proper massage for my back with the same woman who did the reflexology.
