Last night, Mike ran over to the museum to buy tickets to see the show at the planetarium during his lunch. The kids and I hopped on a bus going downtown and got the tickets from him. He said he would meet us at the planetarium in time for the show. We took that first hour to explore the newly opened science part of the museum ( Read more... )

My plans for the day included a charity luncheon, but Mike wasn't feeling well and has been training someone at work the last few days and forgot to get tickets. I was horribly disappointed which was magnified by being at about pain level 5 all day. (5 isn't bad for a couple of hours, but all day it wears on your nerves)

So we went to Dad's place. On the way, we saw a guy holding up a paper plate that said "Need Beer" on a street corner. He was drinking a can of beer he was keeping in his pocket in 13 degree weather. We went to the Star Wars exhibit at the Anchorage museum. The Turnip dressed up in a 2 dollar shawl type thing that looks very like Jedi robes, her handstitched triforce Zelda gloves and hat, and a Galactic Alliance teeshirt.
