I have cygwin/X installed on my work laptop, and I can happily run X apps. But I can't figure out how to setup a network connection to my N800 so I can ssh in and run those applications on my desktop. Does anyone know how to setup Windows XP as a bluetooth host for a Personal Area Network? Will that be enough to let me ssh into my N800?

The more I deal with firmware blobs, the more irritated I get. But I'm not really sure what would have to happen to get bluetooth or wifi hardware that does not have proprietary firmware at all.
The Gnu USRP does not use proprietary firmware, mostly because the point is to write your own 'firmware' as it were

I have a project idea, and it requires an Arduino with the bluetooth module, and a controller. The controller arrived yesterday, it's an N800. This project also requires that I learn how to solder. Anyone in the Boston area want to help me out here?
I bought a Nokia BH-501 bluetooth headset from Newegg some months ago. One of the earpieces broke off of the behind-the-neck band about a week later, and I never got around to investigating the warranty, etc.
