Windows Mobile design flaw, alarm over bluetooth headset?

I have Windows Mobile 6.0 something on my Motorola Q9h phone. I've used my phone for a wakeup alarm ever since I got my first real mobile phone in Sweden some five years ago or so.

But there's a big drawback to using the phone alarm in Windows Mobile 6.0... if you have the bluetooth headset connected, the alarm only sounds over the headset.

This sucks very much, since I often have my jawbone headset in the pocket of my pants, jacket, or laptop bag. It's pretty hard to hear it there.

In contrast, my Nokia N800 can use its built-in speakers, headphones/headset, or a bluetooth headset. In any of those cases, the alarm switches on the speakers and sounds there.

I've only been late to work twice because I had my bluetooth headset connected, but it's still an irritating design flaw. Admittedly, my work laptop has a copy of Visual Studio 2008, so I could probably just write a better alarm application, but I do wish it just worked. That's the point of Windows, right?

In other news I talked more with the cute Portuguese waitress yesterday. It was interesting, I don't know much about the Brazilian Portuguese culture at all.

I haven't made it to Capoeira since Wednesday, I've had a fever since the dentist's appointment on Friday. Hopefully today!
