James McAvoy is going to play young Charles Xavier in X-Men: First Class? I (obviously) love James McAvoy, but I don't know how I feel about this! I suppose it'll depend on the ~chemistry~ between him and whoever they choose to play Magneto. And I suppose I should be relieved they didn't pick someone with questionable acting abilities.

Warner Bros. is adapting Isaac Asimov's Foundation for the big screen, starting with the first book, while considering expanding to a trilogy. DO NOT WANT. Don't get me wrong--I'm a fan of Foundation, but as a film? It's not Lord of the Rings (and by that, I mean structurally and easily translatable to film). Good things: It looked beautiful, I loved the Phoenix musical theme, and Kelsey Grammar makes a great Beast.
