DOAKES KNOWS FOR SURE NOW. HE CAUGHT DEX IN THE ACT. ZOMG, WATER FIGHT. DEX IS SHOT. DOAKES IS AT DEXTER'S MERCY. How are we going to resolve this?! Is Dexter really going to kill Doakes!? OH PLEASE NO. But how else can it end?
Okay, let's backtrack.
Dexter and Rita: I'm sooo glad Dexter apologized. And that Rita saw how broken up he was while hugging the kids. They seem to be stepping in a positive direction, for which I'm very pleased.
Lila: LOONEYBIN MCCRAZYPANTS is at it again. Oh wow, is she going to be trouble! It's sad that Angel is okay with her using him. And I hope she doesn't derail the slowly reconciling Dexter/Rita relationship.
Lundy and Deb: You know, I really like that Lundy doesn't care whether other people know about their relationship. He's just so quirky but capable, and I adore him. Oh, and the way Deb spilled the beans to LaGuerta and Angel was hilarious. Angel looked impressed!
The FBI: Somewhat incompetent, but so amusing.
Dexter and Doakes: OH MY GOD. I said everything up above, but WOAH. That scene at the dock was fantastic! Doakes finally sees Dexter with his mask completely off. And Doakes was so clever to track Dexter. It's so unusual for two main characters on a show to have such deep-seated loathing for each other and to really get to go head-to-head in quite this way. I mean, watching Heroes, the Peter/Sylar showdown was fun, but this showdown has been building throughout two seasons. And I don't want either to lose!
Yes, this remains the best show on television. I'm on the edge of my seat, I'm biting my nails, and I want to know what happens, but I don't want it all to end. SO. MUCH. LOVE.
ETA: In my dream last night, I looked at coupons (aka. the slicks!) in the Sunday paper. And I found such enjoyment flipping through all the cooked dishes of random things. How terribly boring. But Batman showed up earlier in the dream, so it wasn't a complete bust.
