The pop-up versions of HSM 1 & 2 this evening were surprisingly entertaining! I learned a lot of new random info. I do have one quibble about their hat competition between Ryan and Kelsi. They had them tied at 13 hats worn throughout the film, BUT they didn't count Ryan's visor or when Ryan wore Chad's hat, and if we count his HumaHuma hat, that's 16! Oh, and did they count the hat he wore during the dinner? Or did he wear that one before? I was also happy they pointed out some of the various really random things in the movies that made no sense or were continuity errors.

So, anyone see Numb3rs tonight? ::crickets::

ZOMG, DAVID IS A COMIC BOOK FANBOY. That was seriously the best thing about this episode, and if I didn't already love David to pieces, I definitely would now.

I also appreciated that they referenced characters other than 'the usual suspects,' you know, not Batman or Superman or X-Men, but rather Doctor Strange and Galactus. I'm tickled by the fact that Larry loves Galactus, too. And seeing David so reverent and grinning goofily at meeting comic book legend Christopher Lloyd (I've forgotten his character name, so let's just call him 'Doc Brown,' shall we? ;-)) put a huge grin on my own face.

Hey, Joe Morton, you're really getting around lately, aren't you? We had a plethora of recognizable guest stars in this episode, including Wil Wheaton looking very satisfied with his own awesomeness. Not surprisingly, I noticed a high percentage of Trekkies at the con, too.

Other random AWESOMEPANTS things:
  • Colby's hair was extra spikey, no?
  • The lightsaber fight in the parking lot after the auction. My aunt went to the Burning Man this year, and she said they tried to beat the previous Guinness record of the biggest lightsaber fight ever. She doesn't know if they succeeded.
  • Colby wonders if someone should talk to Don about his feelings. Awww!
  • Colby looked so disappointed when he heard the glass window breaking, knowing the perp was doing a runner. And do a runner he did, then got beat up by two girls. That's what he gets.
  • SuperDavid! "You know, for a minute there, I almost believed that a man could fly." Colby got some of the best lines in this episode. Also really glad to see Colby and David back to being partner-y
  • I hope Don and David have a fun weekend ;-)
  • Seth has really long eyelashes
  • Amita mocking Seth for his lack of charm
  • And red is David's color. That red shirt looked really good on him, and he looked even more like Superman. ;-)
  • Don and Charlie posing for their comic book cover, and Charlie pushing his back against Don's, so adorable! In fact, that whole scene was too cute
  • Larry: "A comic book, that's forever." And didn't you love Larry's cover? Well, he did fly into space, after all!

high school musical, numb3rs
