Finished Kobayashi Maru today in a fit of 'fuck it I want to read all afternoon and finish this', and my god, I want the next book right now damn it all. ;;

It does have me thinking about the Maru test and how the situation has to be changed in later generations. ( Spoilers for the book and just general Trek ramblings that I'M SURE YOU ALL CARE SO MUCH ABOUT YEAH )

So in my Ent books, in like every one since the "Broken Bow" novelization, there's been a referrence to a later regulation. XD Like Archer will go 'oh yeah we need to work out proper Starflee proceedure for this' and stuff. It amuses.
