We took our car in yesterday and the repair it requires will cost around $500 - there is an oil leak in a somethingerother around the somethingerother that requires they take out the engine, a process which will take several days. So I didn't go see Gorbachev yesterday. From what I've heard, since he had his translator speaking over him the entire time, it was really hard to hear anything. And with all the people - I'm glad I just went home. I finished reading two books (I'll post about those later) and finished a scarf, as well as starting a new red and black one. To follow yesterday's culinary adventure, tonight I made another recipe from "Extending the Table." It says it is from Costa Rica (julioinka, are you proud?) and is called "Picadillo de Vainica."
