There's nothing like going to the bank and finding $700 you didn't know you had coming to you. EI finally kicked in 3 days before I go back to work so i just got double the money I've spent on Christmas handed back to me. So of course I spent some of it. This is getting to be both a necessary and a difficult task as the bus strike continues. Luckily my dad is off this week and next so, if push comes to shove, I can get to work next week. But it's a horrible hardship to him and I hate to do it. *sigh ( Read more... )

This morning I went outside to help my dad shovel us out of 30cm of snow. He actually said "thank you" which is something remarkable for my dad. We did our house and the neighbours' and then he took me and my mom for coffee.
