OMG just spent like 3 hours in the basement scrubbing and bleaching down the entire wall along the where the pipe broke. I think there was just too much damage from the multiple floods for the paint to hold it back. So I basically depainted it and bleached it really good and scrubbed the cement down and tomorrow I will take KILLS to the entire ( Read more... )

Just spent 4 hours working on the back yard.Talked with uncle Rod and got some things I could do (as he and Jill are helping me). Moved some plants, raked all the leaves and sprayed the weeds/grass. Also gathered up all the trash and misc. crap laying around that needed to be put away or tossed. Still got a long way to go, but getting there!

We did it! 6 hours but the trench is done and ready. A big huge THANK YOU to Rose, Blaine, Cameron, Laura, Mom, and Dad. Couldn't have done it without you. I am blessed to have such great people in my life. I know you all had better things to do than that back breaking work and I am grateful beyond words to express.

Did some shopping this weekend. I was down to 1 pair of black pants that actually fit. Also needed groceries and meds and such. So, I put in a load of laundry and came back upstairs. Went down to toss everything in the dryer and stepped into like 1/2 inch of water! Something is wrong with the washer (yes, my brand new one). I got one of those home decorating/furnishing catalogs in the mail today and saw a solution to my stupid closet problem! Not totally ideal as it does leave your clothes out (but hey, who is ever in there but me anyway?) as there are no doors, but at least it would mean I could get them IN my room instead of having to go downstairs every day! Ok, room is painted, unless I decide to put flour de leaf along the top of the wall. Won't be able to decide until I get the curtains in there. So waiting for paint to dry.

Alright, time for the second color. Need to get it finished so it will dry in time to get everything back in my room in time to sleep tonight. Can't leave the babies out here or they will scream all night for me.
