We ended up with two reviews this weekend; both saw the show on the rocky first night and fairly savaged it. Me? I hit my cues, knew my lines, and sang my numbers. You know, as in the one that an attractively clad girl would have strapped to her while making her way through a loud, smoky night club, hawking cigarettes to the customers, as would have been done 40 or 50 years ago?

I'd mentioned that Kid-2 made the Honor Roll this quarter, with a 3.71 GPA (EDIT: 3.86; she pulled out the A in math), and her play, The Ash Girl, is going into tech week, so look for her on stage soon*. Okay, full disclosure: I ran out of gas last Sunday night on my way to pick up crazieabby from her babysitting gig at ednoria, as apparently gas stations in Fulton and that area around ednoria, kugelblitz, and starfyrone do not stay open past 2100 or some early time; I passed two closed ones I'd counted on before running out. The show turned out pretty darned good! The cast is rockin' it: Will is unexpectedly funny as Corvino - he has a subtle physical humor that he really needed the larger stage to bring out, so we didn't see it in rehearsal - and cnvarbiter is great as I knew he would be.
