Frankincense, iris, white gardenia, Roman chamomile, amber, and agarwood.

In bottle: sweet gardenia, chamomile, and frankincense. It's definitely a floral, and already I'm wondering if this would be too loud for me. I mean, it's practically screaming floral.

White sandalwood, iris, blue musk, lotus root, moonflower, plum blossom, green tea, white mint and white peach.

In bottle: a clean and clear white scent, faintly floral, with hints of that blue musk. I can also sense the tea note floating in the background; definitely a "silent", pensive blend, although it does have a rather solid presence.

Soft, yet sociopathic: white carnation, iris, orange blossom, and sugared cream.

In bottle: creamy carnation and orange blossom. Dainty and soft, yet the orange blossom has that citrus bite to it at the end.

A mélange of silvery musk, iris, licorice root, black currant, apple blossom, patchouli root, violet, heliotrope, anise, and tonka bean.

In decant - definitely patchouli, with a slightly fruity tone. Dirt--although I usually just get "dirt" from patchouli anyway. Dark and herbal--maybe the anise? Also powdery to my nose.

The pearl of the Italian Renaissance. Elegant iris, bright berries, gilded amber and velvety spices.

In imp: a heady, fruity-floral blend. I'm very clearly smelling iris and berries, sweet and almost intoxicating. I'm also getting the slightly-powdery amber.

Evocative of the sea's unplumbed mysteries. Gentle and lovely, but menacing and profound. Coconut, Florentine iris, hazelnut and opalescent white musk.

In imp: a musky, coconutty, and sharper Blood Pearl. It's a little boozy, and very nutty after a few sniffs--I suppose it's the hazelnut. I don't like this nutty smell, although I like hazelnut ( Read more... )

Sleek, dark, and ominous. Violet and neroli mingled with iris, white sandalwood and dark musk.
In imp: this is an interesting scent! Light floral--possibly the iris. It's already slightly powdery/dry, but the bright notes are uplifting enough that it's a nice base. There's a feeling of getting drunk in the sweetness, too.
