A scent shrouded behind a veil: vanilla orchid, amyris, white sandalwood, grey amber, and tuberose.

In bottle: creamy vanilla, sandalwood, and grey amber. There is another scent that I am getting that I'm not sure of, which I guess could very well be the amyris. This is a resinous sweet and creamy scent.

A piercing, radiant perfume: dragon's blood resin, lily of the valley, lilac and galbanum.

In imp: lily and dragon's blood resin, spicily cherry-like.

Curiouser and curiouser. Milk and honey with rose, carnation and bergamot.

In imp: milk is the first thing I smell here. It's not always pleasant--sometimes it's sweet and nice, sometimes it's sour. Otherwise, it's a clean, bright, young scent.

Sleek, dark, and ominous. Violet and neroli mingled with iris, white sandalwood and dark musk.
In imp: this is an interesting scent! Light floral--possibly the iris. It's already slightly powdery/dry, but the bright notes are uplifting enough that it's a nice base. There's a feeling of getting drunk in the sweetness, too.

Lustrous, sanguine, soft and lavish: soft orris, blood musk, and coconut.

In imp: my notes say, “booze! wine! liquor!”, because I don’t drink and thus I’m not totally sure which is the best word to describe what I was smelling. It’s an interesting scent, quite sharp, and something I didn’t expect at all.

Spun gold, tear-soaked straw, and rose-infused amber.

In imp: a sad sort of sweetness, definitely. It makes me think that it could be happy, but it’s a bit cloying and heavy and a shade darker to be actually happy.

Beautiful, radiant daughter of Demeter… her loveliness was so exquisite that even Hell itself could not resist her. Pomegranate and rose.
In imp: definitely floral, very rosy, and very sweet-almost cloying, but not enough to be overpowering. This reminded me of swapping scented stationery with friends in my childhood. Very nice ( Read more... )
