Sorry for the total lack of info yesterday. It was a long day and I was exhausted. The Girlie and I drove over 3 hours to pick up Her Littleness and I had had a bad night's sleep the night before, so I was a tad grumpy. Picked up our Miss Zoe this afternoon during one hell of a thunder storm. She didn't care. She's been pretty good and the cutest dog ever. Given that I was on the road by 9:30am and didn't get back home until 6:15pm, and drove pretty much completely though severe weather, I'm exhausted. Three more days until new furry kid (aka Zoe) is brought home. We are excited. And ready...I hope. I've got the ex-pen set up in my office area of the dining room with a newly cleaned small crate. I love working with dogs. It's just the best thing ever. This may not have been the best financial decision I've ever made, but holy cow, I'm so much happier being with furry beasties. I don't miss my cube for a second and I love that I'm totally exhausted at the end of the night and not just from mental frustration dealing with breaking code, back ( Read more... )

running around in deep snow with dogs for 2 hours plus a day is exhausting. fun exhausting (plus i get paid to run around in the deep snow with dogs), but exhausting all the same. will try again in the morning for the longer post i've been working on since yesterday...

Still hammering out the new schedule and all its many nuances. Trying to juggle old and new. Figured out what we are going to do with Monkey daycare-wise, so that's a relief.
