Learning curve

Still hammering out the new schedule and all its many nuances. Trying to juggle old and new. Figured out what we are going to do with Monkey daycare-wise, so that's a relief. He'll be about 15 minutes closer in a branch of the same center he goes to now, so the amount of readjusting will hopefully be at a minimum. I'm still figuring out how much time I have for freelancing so I can set rates and schedule jobs. Week 2 of the dog playgroup job and I still love it--even when it's really damn cold or really damn muddy. I get my van this week and am sans the boss ride-along starting next week. Now, I'm thinking about what kind of music to play for the dogs if/when they are anxious about being in the van (had one today). The other great thing about this job is helping find new systems that will make things easier and more efficient. Got my job description and title today. Along with being a coach for my pack, I am VP of Marketing. Heee! It's kind of hilarious given there are only 5 of us and 4 of us are VPs of something. Still, it'll look good on future resumes if I need to.

Casey is starting his first manners class this week (well, next week...but I'm teaching my husband this week's class) and we've been practicing today. He loves to work and catches on *very* quickly. It's just lovely. Currently he is laying down at my side in a settle and every now and again I toss him a banana chip or small piece of cheese. He's a good boy. I think we'll keep him. ;)

I'm trying to figure out where exactly I'll be fitting in all the writing I want to do. I can barely keep up with LJ! I tentatively have time scheduled for the mornings, but not this week. I've got all kinds of things rolling around in my head (not to mention how behind I am with the story cretkid and (theoretically) I are working on (she's doing an awesome job with it too). Gah! I have a original fiction story I have had gnawing at me for months now too. A while back, I had started an LJ just to try to motivate me to do some writing, and I'm so bad about it I haven't even friended myself. Pathetic. I'll get there. And maybe someday I'll have something to post there.

Oh! veritykindle! If you are back from your trip, let me know so I can send you your baklava! It's frozen at the moment but will be plenty fine upon arrival. :)

I know I have more to talk about, but I have to help Girlie with her homework.

Have a good night!
