It seems as if the decision not to go to Falcon Ridge was a good one. I received a brochure in the mail about the GIA Career Fair in New York City that weekend. I have a day off where I'm not actually doing anything, which is pretty rare these days. I just completed three more chapters of GIA coursework. 9 chapters down, 18 to go. I have been in constant motion recently. Within the past ten days, I've finished the first five chapters of my Colored Stones course. (I have until December of 2008 to complete this course, but I am certain I will have it finished well before December of this year. I LOVE distance education).

I've been really thinking about tattoos again. Last year I had the idea of commemorating my grandmother with a tattoo of a cat clock, the kind with the moving eyes and pendulum tail.
