Week Five: Angela was still pregnant at the beginning of this week, but she soon gave birth to twins, Rena and Wade. Afterwards, she had plenty of PDA moments with her boyfriend, Niall. Her sister, Lilith, and her girlfriend, Linda, had a pretty uneventful week, but they were still all over each other quite a bit. Their son, Danny, was an adorable child who became an unfortunate teenager, while his new cousins also became cute toddlers and children (not that it's a competition, don't be silly).
small event: Small Pet Adoption - feather of fur, it doesn't matter, just choose a smaller pet
big event: nothing - the week goes on as normal
As per the ROS event, the Pleasants got this little cutie, Panda. He is adorable, and I won't let you forget it throughout this whole update...
Life is pretty boring in the Pleasant household. We have Daniel doing his homework...
...Wade playing with Panda because we need all the Panda spam...
...Daniel meeting a girl...
Wait, Daniel actually met a girl?
You might recognize Ms. Ivy Copur, one of the Maxis mainstays - she actually looks quite cute when you give her a little makeover. I approve.
DON'T APPROVE, DON'T APPROVE, VERY MUCH DO NOT APPROVE!
Oh, Rena, why must you get on that bed? You don't know what's happened in it.
OK, back to innocent, teenage love before ACR kicks in
I apologize for nothing.
Interesting picture - happy wolf/dog, very not-happy Remy Perry.
W/D: Don't worry, be happy!
You know, if I had to waddle around town all week with that huge belly while I wait for my family to get played, I might be a little testy as well.
Um, Daniel, I don't think you brought this little girl home from school.
And... even though I wrote EVERYTHING ELSE DOWN, I didn't write down who this is.
Simmer Fail
Odd person to be calling. When did she even meet Graham Thatcher?
NOT SORRY!
Panda is well-loved in this household.
Niall finally finished his book. Sounds like a real winner, huh?
This always amuses and distresses me at the same time.
Wade: Hey, this is MY shirt! Get your own!
Jason: I just asked if you wanted to play Red Hands...
Um, WHAT?!
As you can see, I checked Daniel's relationship with his MOTHER - he considers her to be family, as he should.
And he can only do a family kiss, as should be. So, some weird and super-creepy glitch?
Daniel, don't make me dislike you even more!
Jason: Um, do we really have to wait a whole week until Mom is no longer sunburnt.
Yep - just be glad that you don't have many peers in school right now to hear about your great, great embarassment.
Lilith spends some quality time with her niece.
Meanwhile, Linda seems to fear for the safety of said niece, as she probably should. If the Sims was a darker game, that interaction might have a frightening downside...
The family that skills together...
...and adorably dances together...
...does both at the same time!
Seriously, nothing happened this week other than cute little moments.
AND SO MUCH PANDA LOVE!
I love this interaction, especially since my sims always do it autonomously. The bunny slippers make it even better.
Ah, the life of a guinea pig.
Daniel gets back into my favor a little by (VERY INNOCENTLY - this is now important with him, apparently) dancing with his little cousin.
And then he goes back to the computer and leaves Rena with nothing to do. Baby steps, apparently.
Rena: Hello, who are you?
Wade: Maybe if I look away from her, she won't notice our matching blue!
It's Giselle Perry, looking very sophisticated and ready for me to play her. Sorry, but you'll have to wait for the end of Week Six.
And that just got a little closer, since we've reached the end of the Pleasant's round for this week! Daniel headed off to college and everyone else came for their family portrait - which Niall promptly ruined.
Take 2, a bit better.
On to the second Pleasant family next, and then we're donne with Week Six!
Notes:
- Daniel will be sharing a dorm with Winslow Lynch-Davis, who I thought was identical skintone-wise, but has the yellow one while Daniel has the orange one. So don't worry, these two aliens won't be impossible to tell apart - I know, I know, you were all so concerned.
