Week Five: Eve went off to college and finally got to know some of her peers. She also met Shane, who she fell for hard enough that she quickly asked him to move in with her when she graduated and headed back to Sunset Bay proper. Despite all these changes, she kept in touch with her mother and half-brother by giving them plenty of calls.
small event: Mental Health Day - skip work and just relax and keep your comfort and fun up
big event: nothing - the week goes on like normal
Like most of these new couples straight out of uni, these two headed immediately to their warm-colored bed once I finished furnishing their house. It's a two-story, perfect for a growing family, but they only had enough money to decorate their bedroom and the main rooms so far - the upstairs and the downstairs bedroom are completely empty.
Shane might be a romance sim, but he seems quite happy with Ms. Pleasant.
They have a tiny little garden at the front of the house, to occupy their very free time (yeah, I think we ended up skipping the ROS event because they basically had nothing to skip out of).
I did decide that we needed some more sim-owned businesses, though, so Eve purchased the public pool that you caught a glimpse of when Joel, Jules, and Jason checked it out. Needless to say, Eve had to take out a loan to get it, but it gave her something to do and a tiny bit of an income flow, as long as they actually show up and work there (my biggest problem with businesses).
These two spend most of their time just skilling.
And admiring their artwork.
And skilling. So much skilling.
Don't worry, your girl still loves you - and you have plenty of time to learn better cooking skills!
These two keep coming back here because there just haven't been any darn chimes!
Speaking of...
Eve: So, how would you feel about having another me around...
Eve: ...a mini-me, that is!
Odd way to announce your pregnancy, but whatever - there's finally a wee one on the way.
Eve's old outfit didn't have a pregmorph, so she got a new dress and sweater to show off her growing belly.
Shane: I'm a Romance Sim - so why am I so darn happy?
Because you're a good guy who knows that I have the power to make your life hell if you cheat on your pregnant girlfriend?
They still need to furnish the downstairs nursery, but since they have no money, Shane has to dig around for some treasures.
Of course, all he found was water. *shrug*
Sorry, Hugh, she's a little busy being pregnant and not really friends with you to begin with, so...
ladida, nothing is really happening with them but their house is pretty and they're cute together, so I don't care...
This cat, Kobe if I'm reading my notes correctly, wandered by and began bonding with Shane. I wanted to adopt her (he?), but the cat wandered right back out before Shane had a high enough relationship.
Besides, we have another little thing coming in - baby instead of feline, but whatever.
Meet Zelda Pleasant!
She got her daddy's skintone and eyes and both of her parents' hair color. Hmm, thought the baby would get Eve's skintone - maybe she got one of those annoying skintones and changed it in SimPE before promptly forgetting about it. Whatever, the point is: meet Zelda.
Kobe, you came back! Please move in and love us all.
I think these two are the type to just have one child and shower her with all their love and attention - when they're not paying attention to each other, of course.
See? They're too cute to worry about things like Romance aspirations.
Shane is a proud papa as well - and look at all that blue and orange, clashing together in all their complimentary color glory (showing off that elementary school art education, thank you very much).
Eve finally headed into her business, the one she purchased days ago and promptly forgot about.
She has a fire dancer! The poor guy must have been bored, waiting around for her to finally show up.
She has some... interesting clientele so far.
Luckily, those people did spend their money, at least a little bit at a time!
One of the people who showed up was Jenny Vu, a big, bad business reviewer. I guess she was merely whelmed, because we didn't get a good or bad review.
Fire man is very bored.
Sim god does not care.
And we head back home, where it seems Shane harvested his garden and got a shiny salad!
And speaking of shiny things - Zelda is thrown up in a burst of sparkles and becomes...
...toddler! Zelda
I had to give her gradient hair, obviously.
Loves the Outdoors (Eve) // Dramatic (Shane) // Sculptor
And that's all for the Pleasant family this week - and Sunset Bay for Week 6! Get ready for the round-up post within the hour and then we can move on WEEK SEVEN! I've played it all, but I still need to finish editing pictures and then get them all written up, so hopefully I'll be fairly regular with the updates.
Notes:
- I'm pretty sure these two are still just dating, maybe engaged, but I'm pretty sure they're not married yet - I'll only do that if one of them gets that want.
- This is kind of random and only bothers me, but for some reason, the main room (which has the living room area, kitche, dining room, and the bookshelf/exercise bike corner) gives all the sims horrible environment points; I've decorated it more than I normally do, and it still doesn't help. Any advice?
